• Games will be 7 a side
• Teams will comprise of 6 outfield players and one goalkeeper
• Squads may consist of up to 10 players with rolling subs used throughout the match
• A size 4 ball will be used for all games
• There will be 6 teams at each level with each team playing each other once (5 games in total per team)
• All players should receive equal playing time where possible
• All players must wear shin pads and wear appropriate footwear for the grass pitch
• Glasses may be worn provided they have safety frames and lenses.
• The duration of the games will be 15 minutes with a 5-minute turnaround time between games
• Matches will be ‘officiated’ from the side of the field, common sense and fair play will be paramount at all times
• Goalkeepers must play from the back, no kicking from hand
• The retreat line rules will apply and be as per normal 7s games. The retreat line will be set at approximately 3 metres outside the penalty box. Defenders can enter this area at any time and take a pass from goalkeeper though as soon as the ball is touched, their opponents are allowed to enter the area behind the retreat line. If the ball stops dead however, play is live and attackers can enter the area.
• There is no offside rule
• The pass back law does not apply
• Team should agree before kick-off if throw-ins or kick-in from the sidle-line to be taken
• All free-kicks awarded outside the ‘penalty area’ will be in-direct. If the ball goes into the goal, directly from a free-kick, the kick will be retaken.
• Play shall commence from the centre spot once a goal has been scored
• Team coaches will substitute players demonstrating unacceptable behaviour
• At the end of the game all players and coaches are to shake hands and leave the pitch as soon as possible after this point
• All kids must have fun
