CBR Maintenance Group

Dalkeith Thistle Community Football are delighted to announce the start of a large-scale upgrade project for our home at Cowden. With the fantastic sponsorship of CBR Maintenance Group, work is now underway and over the coming months will cover:

• Painting all the outside containers dark green, as requested by Midlothian Council (already complete).

• Upgrade of our toilet facilities, assisted by the kind contribution of a yet-to-be-finalised amount from the recent Tesco campaign. If you have visited Cowden in the last weeks, you will see that the gents toilets are currently in (more) bits! The other two toilets will be started on when the gents are finished.

• A full review of all the lighting and wiring throughout the building.

• Remodelling changing rooms to give bigger, fit for purpose facilities for older teenagers / adults.

• Painting/refreshing the remainder of the pavilion, including the outside doors and shutters.

• Upgrade of the outside container to include shower facilities and toilet facilities.

This work would not be possible without the fantastic support of CBR Maintenance, so we would like to place on record our gratitude to Sean McGovern and his team. As a token of our appreciation, the CBR Maintenance logo will appear on the back of the warm jackets currently being bought for the subs of all 7 and 11 a side teams, and we will explore other ways of recognising the support with Sean in the coming months.
The improvements are in keeping with our vision and values:
• To be an active member of the community
• To have the best possible facilities for our members

If anyone has any questions on the works, please direct them to Tony Cervi (Treasurer) in the first instance.
