To honour the late Jock Stuart (Ronnie Stuarts Dad) the club dedicates a trophy in his name. Jock was a big supporter of our football club and played a significant part in the running of the youth club based at Cowden. Jock was passionate about what he did and gave a huge amount of his time to both the football and youth club making a positive impact on many people.
To reflect this we will award the Jock Stuart Commemorative Trophy.
The trophy will be awarded to a player within our football club who has excelled in a sport or activity outside of football over the past 12 months. This can be anything ranging from, for example, receiving the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award, Dancing or playing a part in the local community, making a positive difference in people’s lives.
Coaches or Parents are asked to submit names to a club secretary Ann Phillips (secretary@dalkeiththistlecfc.com) by Friday 7th June. Don’t just consider players in your own team or age group.
Can you please ensure this message is sent/communicated to your respective age group/teams by email, text or Facebook.
The award will be presented to the winner at our annual presentation on Sunday 16th June.
